Grants Lead

Elimin8Hate (E8) is the advocacy arm of the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. We work to interrupt, dismantle and eliminate anti-Asian racism at the individual, institutional and systemic level by harnessing the power of arts, film and media. We provide anti-Asian racism learning opportunities, and create safe, inclusive ways for impacted community members and allies to participate in initiatives aimed at supporting systemic change for an equitable society. Educate. Empower. Eliminate.

Want to make an impact in the fight against anti-Asian racism? Elimin8Hate is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated volunteer Grants Lead to join our team! As a Grants Lead, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. So, if you're ready to make a real difference and be part of a team fighting for a better future, join Elimin8Hate.

The ideal candidate will have the following work style:

  • Detail-oriented: As a Grants Lead, you'll need to pay close attention to details in order to write accurate and compelling grant proposals.

  • Self-motivated: You'll be working independently to research and write grant proposals, so it's important to be self-motivated and able to manage your own workload.

  • Collaborative: You'll work closely with our team to identify funding opportunities and to understand the needs of our organization.

  • Strong communicator: You'll need to be able to effectively communicate our organization's mission and goals in your grant proposals, as well as communicate with funders and other stakeholders.

You’re a great fit if:

  • You have experience in persuasive writing to raise funds, such as grants or scholarships.

  • You're passionate about our organization's mission and want to help secure funding to support our programs and initiatives.

  • You have strong writing skills and the ability to write in a clear and compelling manner.

  • You're comfortable with conducting research and analyzing data to support grant proposals.

  • You're excited about the opportunity to make a real impact in your community by helping our non-profit secure the funding it needs to make a difference.

  • You respect people from all backgrounds, understand that cultural differences exist, and are excited to learn more.

  • You enjoy celebrating and sharing the accomplishments of Asians working in different creative spaces.

  • You are comfortable with remote work and Google Suite.

  • You are located anywhere in Canada.
